What is the vegan diet – The vegan diet is a diet that does not contain any animal products such as meat and dairy.
Is A Vegan Diet Good For Rheumatoid Arthritis
I will be speaking from personal experience when it comes to this. There are research that does show that a diet without dairy and meat will have a positive effect on R.A.
I have had R.A. for all my life without any real benefit from treatments. I started eating more of a macrobiotic diet and eventually cutting out all most all dairy and all meat products. My overall health has never been this good and my R.A. has never been this good either.
The only time I have felt any pain is when I have steered of my diet. I do not eat any animal products anymore and nor do I intend to as a life without or with a minimal amount of pain definitely outweighs the food.
Benefits From A Vegan Diet - Rheumatoid Arthritis
Since I started eating better I have been of my medications completely, I do add in supplements that are good for inflammation. I will get back to that further down this article.
The reason why many people benefit from a vegan diet when they are suffering from R.A. is because animal products can act as an allergen to our bodies. One of the biggest reasons to why people are experiencing health issues are in fact animal products and lets not forget sugar.
If you are experiencing heart problems, cholesterol issues etc. the doctor will tell you to cut out certain animal products. Because it is not good for us and it does cause health issues.
When you start eating healthier and cut out the foods that can cause and trigger inflammation your disease will do a lot better.
Benefits from a vegan diet
- More Energy
- Less Pain
- Less Fatigue
- Less Flare-Ups
- Less Inflammation
And not just this but your life will be easier in the sense that you will not have to worry about how you will be able to do something as the pain and the inflammation will become less frequent. You will be able to start exercising more which in return will also have a positive impact on your life. If you do embark on this journey to a more healthy and R.A. free life. Then you should also try to stay clear of sugar and processed foods. I am not saying never to eat it but try to limit yourself.
Best Supplements For Rheumatoid Arthritis
When I started my journey I followed a very strict diet and these are somethings I added into my diet due to the great benefits of them being anti-inflammatory.
It does sound like a lot but the truth is you can get them all in pretty much in one meal.
I always start my mornings with a green juice which allows me to but everything into it. If I do not feel like adding the Spirulina and Chlorella powder I also have these in tablets.
My Favourite Products For Rheumatoid Arthritis
If you have a brand that you are comfortable with, then you should go with that one. It is also important to remember that change does not happen over night and that you need to give it a little bit of time, it is worth it in the end tho.
Like I previously said, change takes time but it is worth it in the end. If you want to go down the morning smoothie path you can add in some lemon for flavour, especially if you are not a big fan of the green smoothies. As soon as you will start to feel the change in your body and health you are going to want continue.
